Information about Protected Learning Time (PLT)
What is Protected Learning Time
Protected Learning Time (PLT) consists of planned educational meetings for our practice staff to support their learning and professional development. These sessions help our team stay up to date with clinical advancements, reflect on their practice, and discuss key learning events. PLT is essential for ensuring we continue to provide safe, high-quality care to our patients.
What to Expect During PLT Sessions
During Protected Learning Time, our services will continue with some limitations:
✅ Our practice doors, telephone lines, and eConsult triage service will remain open.
✅ You can still order or collect prescriptions in person if necessary.
✅ Booking or canceling pre-booked appointments is available by phone or in person.
✅ Our urgent clinical service will operate as usual, providing telephone and face-to-face consultations with the duty doctor, as well as home visits when clinically appropriate.
✅ All covering staff will have access to your medical records to ensure continuity of care.
❌ Routine clinical appointments will not be available during these times.
